This new chapter features a restructured board, a fresh logo reflecting our journey, new committees working on new and expanded programs, and a revamped website—all designed to engage and empower the talent of the future.
Additional Highlights:
- The SCTE Foundation expanded its grant and scholarship programs to benefit individuals and companies, including vendors and industry innovators.
- Several powerhouses who are passionate about the Foundation and its mission have joined our combined executive leadership team (board of directors, committee leadership and staff operations) and are now sharing their wisdom as part of our driving force.
- By actively engaging with and heeding guidance from the companies we serve, we are positioned to deliver tangible value to the industry.
- This strategic shift, which includes the establishment of a “new ideas” committee, will drive innovation and support new workforce training.
- We launched and filled a pilot program for aspiring fiber splicing technicians in the new Broadband Labor Academy, which includes crucial training and job placement opportunities.
- We expanded our operations to include the hiring of the organization’s first operations manager.
- The Tom Polis Golf Classic—which supports the Foundation—earlier this summer was the highest grossing tournament since the event’s inception 22 years ago. This success is a testament to the excitement surrounding the Foundation’s evolution and the momentum that is underway.
