EXTON, Pa. — (February 11, 2026)
The SCTE Foundation today announced the official launch of its NextGen Mentoring Pilot, a new six-month program designed to support rising technical and operational talent across the broadband ecosystem. All mentor–mentee pairings have now been finalized, onboarding communications distributed, and the cohort kickoff scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, marking the formal start of the pilot.

The inaugural cohort includes 40 participants forming 20 mentor–mentee pairs, representing a diverse cross-section of early- to mid-career professionals and seasoned industry leaders committed to developing the next generation of broadband expertise.

The NextGen Mentoring Pilot reflects the SCTE Foundation’s ongoing commitment to Careers in Motion, Skills that Build, Powering Tech Talent through SCTE, expanding access to structured mentorship for emerging professionals who may not otherwise have access to industry-connected guidance, while opening new pathways to leadership, connection, and growth across the broadband workforce.

“Landing with 40 engaged professionals in our first cohort demonstrates the level of interest in meaningful, structured mentorship,” said Ken Klaer, Chair of the SCTE Foundation. “NextGen is intentionally designed to open doors for emerging talent while pairing them with experienced leaders who want to give back in a meaningful way.”

“The official launch of NextGen represents an investment in the future of our workforce,” said Yvette Kanouff, a member of the SCTE Foundation Board. “This program brings together talent, experience, and intention in a way that strengthens individuals while advancing the industry as a whole. We’re proud to see this pilot move from vision to reality.”

The program will run through June 30, 2026, with insights from the pilot helping inform future mentoring and talent development efforts. For more information about the SCTE Foundation’s NextGen Mentoring Pilot, plus grants and scholarships, visit sctefoundation.org.
